The Framework
The Seven Centres
Human energy does not move as one undifferentiated force. It moves through seven distinct centres, each governing a different dimension of how you experience your life and your work.
Why centres matter
Most fatigue is not uniform. You can feel sharp mentally and completely flat emotionally. You can be full of ideas and empty of the will to act on any of them. The Energy framework maps these distinctions, so you can stop treating all depletion the same way and start addressing the right centre with the right attention.
Each centre has a guiding question. When you can hear that question in yourself, you know which centre needs attention. Each centre also has a signature when it is functioning well and a signature when it is blocked. Learning to read your own centres is the beginning of the whole practice.
The seven centres
Centre One
Safety, Stability, and Belonging
Am I safe enough to be here?
The foundation. When this centre is blocked, everything else feels precarious. Safety is not the absence of challenge. It is the presence of enough ground beneath your feet to take the next step.
Centre Two
Emotion, Movement, and Flow
Am I allowed to feel?
The centre of movement, feeling, and emotional range. Blocked here, you feel flat or numb. Open here, life has texture and your emotional responses arrive with useful information rather than overwhelming noise.
Centre Three
Power, Action, and Self Belief
Am I allowed to act?
The centre of action, confidence, and personal agency. When it is depleted, decisions feel heavy and forward movement becomes effortful even when the path is clear.
Centre Four
Connection, Care, and Relationship
Am I able to connect without losing myself?
The centre of love, care, and genuine belonging. This is where trust, generosity, and honest care either flow or contract. Many relational difficulties are fourth-centre difficulties in disguise.
Centre Five
Expression, Truth, and Voice
Am I allowed to be honest?
The centre of communication, creativity, and authentic self-expression. Blocked here, ideas stay unexpressed and the gap between what you think and what you say widens until the friction becomes constant.
Centre Six
Insight, Perception, and Understanding
Am I able to see clearly?
The centre of perception, pattern recognition, and deeper knowing. When it is clear, you see the situation as it actually is, not as you fear it might be, or as you wish it were.
Centre Seven
Integration, Meaning, and Purpose
Does my life make sense as a whole?
The centre of direction, meaning, and the sense that what you are doing matters. Without access to this centre, even successful work can feel hollow. With it, even difficult days have a quality of rightness that sustains you.
